With the warm weather and beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom, it’s time to Spring clean the one thing you’ve been sweeping under the rug – your outdated dating profile. For so long you’ve been saying “oh I’ll fill that out later,” but in reality you have’t spruced it up since you made it a year ago. Things have changed, you’ve changed, and it’s best to reflect your most current self.
You enjoy going on dates, but when it comes to planning the evening yourself, you draw a complete blank on what to do and where to go. What type of dates do singles want to go on these days? Lucky for you, we’ve got the answer.
Conversation Nation, the second annual study, released today by Plenty of Fish reveals the state of conversations in dating and explores all the ways different generations of singles connect through communication.

With the summer heat on the horizon, Plenty of Fish hit the Venice Beach boardwalk to ask LA locals what’s more important to them on a first date, conversation or sex?!
In a survey of over 2,000 U.S. singles, POF revealed 90 percent of these singles prefer conversation vs. sex.
Well, let’s take a look to see if these Angelenos agreed with the majority…
“Let’s just say the conversation was so good that we ended up getting kicked out of Starbucks at closing. We didn’t want the conversation to end…”
And the conversation didn’t end there for Brian and Patricia who met on Plenty of Fish, but we will let them tell the story.
Jane: Andy messaged me first “Hi how are you? My name is Andy been single a while now. I’ve got 3 children, all independent. Time for me now!! It would be great to hear from you x”
Leading up to Valentine’s Day, we asked our fellow Plenty of Fish employees,

Today, we are so happy to share their beautiful, funny and heart warming responses with all of you!
Over the last two years, most of us have become all too familiar with the dating trend, Ghosting – when someone you’ve been dating suddenly ceases all communication without an explanation, leaving you completely in the dark and asking yourself, “what happened?”
Today we are excited to share a heartwarming success story we received just last week from two former Plenty of Fish members, Kerby and Simon. Simon had given up on finding love due to his experience in a past relationship, but it wasn’t long before Kerby changed his entire outlook on love and on life.
