Every day we have the pleasure of speaking with our many success story couples who all found love on PlentyOfFish through a unique message exchange. Today we are looking at the true story of Branden and Macy,
which started with a simple but clever message from Branden that said,
Chipotle or Qdoba?
After much deliberation, I correctly responded with Qdoba. And that’s where our love story begins…
When Branden offered to pick me up for our first date, nerves were high, make-up was on point and it was date time.
I wouldn’t say it was love at first sight, but there was a strong sense of familiarity. We settled into our conversation easily. He listened, laughed and I found myself being 100% myself. Seriously, 100%. Sometimes when you meet somebody for the first time, you try to act a little more polished or fun or sexy than you usually are? There was none of that.
Our night flew by. Poor Branden was working a third shift when we first met, so we ate and talked for a few hours, then he drove me home. Being the gentleman that he is, he walked me to my front door and leaned in for a kiss.
I quickly fell head over heels for him. It was the can’t eat, can’t sleep, kind of falling for him.
A few short weeks later I was home from work with a horrible cold and ear infection. It was that cold where used Kleenex is all over the floor and your bed and you haven’t washed your hair in days kind of sickness. Branden insisted that he was going to come over and take care of me.
I decided that if he really wanted to see me at my worst, he could. He came over with tea, magazines and fuzzy socks. He then laid in my Kleenex filled bed and asked me to officially be his girlfriend.
I thought this kind of love and this kind of man only existed in movies. But I’m lucky enough to call him mine, all because of this little app on my phone called PlentyOfFish.
We now live together in a sunny one-bedroom loft and have lots of plans for our future. We love being active, meal prepping and spending time with our family.
