Here at POF, we want to make online dating more welcoming with lower pressure. And what better way to make that happen than eliminating uncomfy moments that no one signs up for? That’s right, we’re talking about the unsolicited nudes, dick pics, and dirty messages.
Meet the NDP (short for “No Dick Pics”) Badge. Displaying this badge on your profile lets your potential matches know at first glance that you won’t participate in bad online dating behavior. And seeing the badge on other profiles means you can expect the same from them. It’s a win-win. When you and other members display the badge, it makes dating safe and fun. Plus, it encourages good dating behavior and is something to really celebrate.
Now, you must be thinking, “How do I add the badge to my profile?”. Well, we’ve got two ways for you to take care of that:
- From your profile
Tap the ‘Profile’ icon in the top left corner. Then, select ‘Edit profile’ below your profile pic and username. You’ll see the NDP Badge and a toggle that lets you control whether to display it on your profile or not. At any point, you can choose to turn it off or on.
- From another member’s profile
If you’re swiping and come across a profile with the badge, simply click on the badge and select ‘Add badge to my profile’. From there, you can control whether it’s on display or not.
When we all commit to being better, it creates a better online dating experience for everyone. And if people continue being icky, you can swipe left and keep moving forwards. At that point, it’s a them problem, not something you need to deal with. We know you deserve better than that!
So here’s to keeping it light and fun on POF and working together to clean up online dating behavior, one NDP Badge at a time.
