It’s officially festival season, ladies and gentleman. This year, it would appear that singles are more than ready to welcome it with open arms.
The Coachella music festival kicks off this weekend (April 14th 2017) and our most recent Plenty of Fish survey has revealed this music festival is a hot spot for spring flings with men leading the charge!
Are we surprised? Not really!
Plenty of Fish surveyed over 1800 singles across the US between the ages of 18-40 and it turns out, after we broke the results down by gender, a whopping 84 percent of men are eager on a festival hookup, versus only 41 percent of women.

When asked whether they’d hooked up at a music festival or concert in the past, things were looking a little less spicy – with only 21 percent of men admitted to having done the deed vs a low 9 percent of women.
Nothing but Positive Vibes at Coachella 2017
When Plenty of Fish asked singles ‘what going to Coachella says about someone’, singles described attendees as adventurous, trendy and having great musical taste. And while many singles are open to a weekend festival fling (70 percent of singles), it’s not how they perceive the attendees:
- They’re adventurous (25.7%)
- They’ve got great musical taste (22%)
- They’re trendy (18.2%)
- They try too hard (10.1%)
- They’re a music snob (7.4%)
- They’re too young for me (6.8%)
- They’re looking to hook up (5.8)
- They’re a showoff (3.9%)
It looks like festival season is off to a great start, so now we’d like to ask all you eager concert goers this – Are you heading to Coachella this year for the music, adventure, or cheeky spring fling?!
