This Plenty of Fish success couple managed to pull off an entire POF themed wedding and their cake is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before! Thank you Jacoby and Bianca for sharing your story with us – read more about how they met and advice on finding your person on Plenty of Fish.
When you first saw the other’s profile, what was it that stood out to you?
I thought Jacoby was a nice looking man, he knew what he wanted and looked like he had a serious side as well as a funny side.
For me, it was Bianca’s smile! She just looked so happy in her photos, I knew I just had to message her. I made the first move and messaged her first because I had seen her three separate times on the POF app – once under “online now”, another on “people near me” and then the third time on “meet me”. Three has always been my lucky number, so I knew I had to send a message.
Was your first date planned quickly after meeting on Plenty of Fish, or did you talk online for abit?
We didn’t wait too long, we probably messaged a total of 3 paragraphs about ourselves then he asked for my number. We realized we lived on the same street!
Where did you go on your first date?
We went to Applebees because it’s my (Jacoby’s) favorite place.
Now let’s talk about the wedding! How did you pull off such an amazing POF themed wedding?
It took lots of creativity! We both came up with it. No one has ever done it quite like this, so we bounced ideas off each other. We were both very proud to be apart of this moment.
And what made you decide to do a Plenty of Fish wedding theme?
We’ve never seen it done before, we googled so much! It’s something people could talk about and something that all our friends and family could enjoy.
In fact – we know of 38 people at our wedding that actually signed up for Plenty of Fish after the wedding.
Who did your Plenty of Fish cake at your wedding?
Shout out to Spider Monkey Cakes – You can check her out on Facebook. She did our cake and it was incredible. We sent through a photo of what we had in mind and she loved the idea. She had never done something like it before and she did a beautiful job!
What do you love most about one another that solidified your relationship as husband and wife?
Jacoby is an amazing guy, very funny, such a comedian! He keeps me laughing and puts a smile on my face always.
Bianca is so supportive and that was a big problem in my last marriage, the lack of support. She believes in me and has never given up on us.
What is your best piece of advice for those dating online?
DO NOT GIVE UP! Since 2013 I’ve (Jacoby) been dating online. You get what you put into it!
Be cautious, there are some strange people out there. When my friend told me about online dating I wasn’t into the idea but I met my husband and here we are today. Go with the flow! Step out of your comfort zone, there is someone for everyone!
