Don’t like getting sent nudes you never asked for? We hear ya! If you don’t know, now you know—consent is everything.
If you haven’t been following along, back in October, created a virtual dick pic gallery to call out one of the most unwanted behaviors in online dating, sending dick pics without consent. Not that kind of dick pics, don’t worry—just a bunch of wholesome guys named Richard. Because those are the only “Dicks” that belong in online dating.
This spring, we’re going big (that’s what she said) and making an IRL Gallery of Dick Pics.
That’s right, from May 8 to June 4, New Yorkers can get up close and personal with our pop-up gallery at the Broadway-Lafayette subway station in Manhattan. And it won’t just be a gallery. On May 15 – 20, right outside the station entrance, you’ll be able to grab free coffee and have the chance to win some swag like “Burn This Dick” candles, “Fresh Dick” soap and cheeky t-shirts. We’re going all out and we can’t wait to see you there.
And we didn’t stop there. After hearing that 62% of our members (75% identify as women) value dating features that share that the person they’re chatting to isn’t interested in sending unsolicited nudes, we wanted to make that happen. Now, you can add the “No Dick Pic” (NDP) badge to your profile to let other singles know that you won’t tolerate gross dating behavior. So, say goodbye to dick pics and nudes. We won’t miss them.
But wait, there’s more! During the month of May, for every NDP badge added to a profile, we’re making a donation to the nonprofit A Call to Men; an organization that promotes healthy, respectful masculinity.
