Sure, dating is a two-person game, but all too often we forget to give credit to the people who helped us along the way. It might only take two to tango, but when it comes to dating it can sometimes (or most of the time) be a group effort. Everything from dating debriefs with friends, to lessons learned from exes gets us one step closer to running off into the sunset. Even strangers can steer us on the route to success when we least expect it.
The people around us are the supporting stars of our dating game. We might be in the driver’s seat, but our directions can come from anywhere… which usually makes for a pretty good story. That’s how Thank You Notes was born. The collection of poetry you’ll find below is based on a number of dating stories that all have one thing in common: an unsung hero who deserves a little extra nod for pointing us in the right direction, even when they didn’t know it.
