Today we would like to introduce you to Mr. & Mrs. Robins!
Bevis Robins had been on and off PlentyOfFish for a couple of years. He logged on for certain weeks at a time and went on a few dates here and there, but nothing too serious…that was until he click yes to a pretty girl on ‘Meet Me’ from Barnstable, which happened to be 80 miles away from his current location.
Catherine’s profile didn’t say too much, so I just gave it a go.
Now, Catherine had only been on PlentyOfFish for a week (YES, only a week) when Bevis caught her eye through the feature on POF called “Meet Me,” and clicked ‘yes’.
Catherine didn’t hesitate one second and messaged Bevis back straight away. One of his photos was a picture of him at a Foo Fighters gig that she had attended herself.

The two got to talking and realized they had more things in common than music and eventually arranged to meet half way in the town of Bude for dinner.
We must have got on well because ‘dinner’ can be a big risk on a first date!
Bevis nervously drove the hour to meet his date Catherine.
As soon as I saw her I knew that I’d hit the jackpot. There was an immediate attraction and we got on brilliantly.
It happened to be one day before Catherine’s birthday.
As soon as I stepped out of the car, Bevis presented me with a bag of presents; a bar of dairy milk, some Cornish blue cheese and a copy of an early Foo Fighters album. These were all things I’d mentioned that I liked during previous conversations.
The two sat down for a lovely dinner. The evening was amazing and the two exchanged a few kisses before saying goodbye.
Bevis saw his mother that same weekend and simply said to her:
Mum, I’ve met someone
After this first date, the two of them knew it wouldn’t be their last.
On March 27, 2015 Catherine became Mrs. Robins.
