Ever since our CEO and fearless leader Markus Frind created Plentyoffish.com out of his apartment in 2001, the company has been at the forefront of the ever-evolving industry of online dating – but what does it mean to be here?
As POF continues to grow tremendously and diversifies its business, we find ourselves changing relentlessly, shifting our perspective, and trying new things. So we would like to keep you in the loop too. This blog will include our musings we feel are relevant, ranging from industry trends, user behaviour, and advice on dating and relationships, to things that make you go “hmmm”.
Essentially, we’d like to share what it’s really like to be a part of something so big, with a core that’s fundamentally very simple – bring people together. So while we are feeling especially nostalgic and remembering our roots, I’ve included some of the original screen-shots from POF’s younger years. But before you start smirking, let me stop you right there! The original layout on the far right enticed almost 5 million users to sign up to the site before it was upgraded and switched out…
