Ever sent a pre-date text to friends or family that shares details about the person you’re meeting up with and where you’re going? If yes, you’re not alone.

We recently asked over 14,000 POF members that question and 78% of them said they do share info about upcoming in-person dates; name, date, location, time and more. Out of those surveyed, 40% (56% identified as women) told us they’d be more likely to share these details if there was a built-in app feature. Knowing this and wanting to continue making POF the safest space for online dating, we obviously had to make things easier for you.

Drumroll, please… Meet our newest feature: Share My Date. Now, you can share who, when and where you’re meeting your dates—right from the POF app. It’s a simple way to send your date details to friends and family, plus it provides you with more safety and support on your dating journey.

Alright, let’s get into how you can share your date details from the POF app.

Step 1:

From the chat you’re having with your next date, click the calendar icon in the top right corner (to the left of the phone icon).

Step 2:

Next, fill out your date details; who you’re meeting, the day and time, plus anything else you want to note.

Step 3:

Once you’re done, all that information is packaged up in an easy-to-share link to send to your friends or family. This link won’t expire until 7 days after your date, so you can edit or cancel it if anything changes.

We hope this makes it easier for you to share your pre-date details with friends and family. Like always, your safety is at the top of our priority list. And don’t forget to check out and use our other safety features like Selfie Verification and Are You Sure?.

So, here’s to more peace of mind and safety while dating—online and in person.
