Hey daters, Jackie here! I’ve been going out and searching for the best date spots in New York City. With the help of some friends and TikTok, I’ve put together a list that you’re definitely going to want to check out. Whether you’re heading out with some friends or need a place to impress your date, I’ve got you covered!
While NYC can get pretty expensive, there are still plenty of places and things to do that won’t break the bank. Here are a some ideas for when you are trying to stay on budget:
Dinner at Essex Market and a sunset walk on Pier 35
Essex Market is a marketplace with a ton of different food vendors and little restaurants, you can get any type of food you want! After dinner, take a walk over to Pier 35 and watch the sunset on the swings facing the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge for the perfect view.
Bryant Park movie and a picnic
Every Monday until August 15th, Bryant Park is screening free movies outside on the lawn. Making the date into a picnic just gives it that extra “aww” factor to impress your date. Grab your date, get outside and enjoy the summer weather!
Brooklyn Bridge Park movies and food trucks
Every Thursday night until August 25th, there are free movies at the Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn. Before the movie starts, enjoy some music or grab something to eat at the vendors around the park. The film starts once the sun goes down, but the view of the city is a can’t miss!
Mini golf at Pier 25 and dinner at Gigino Trattoria
Gigino’s is an Italian restaurant with a fairly big menu. It’s about a five minute walk to Pier 25, where you and your date can play a round of mini golf $10 a person.
A walk to Chelsea Market and tacos
Chelsea Market has plenty of little shops and food stands to get something to eat, but Los Tacos No.1 is my all time personal favorite. Visiting the different stores and flea markets would be a perfect way to keep a casual date flowing. Before you leave, make sure to stop and get some gelato too!
Swingers mini golf and street food
Swingers is located in Flatiron and is an indoor mini golf experience. It has three different courses for you to choose from with an area to buy street food too. Tickets are $22 a person with drinks and food sold separately, but be sure to make a reservation before you go!
Frames Bowling and bites
Looking for something a little more active for your next date night? Frames Bowling is probably the place for you.. Spend a couple of hours bowling and enjoy a couple bites to eat after for a perfect casual and fun night.
Outdoor concert at Hudson Yards and bites at Mercado Little Spain
Hudson Yards has an outdoor concert series in the summer, every Wednesday, for free! They also have other vendors and food stations set up outside, but inside Hudson Yards you can find Mercado Little Spain and enjoy some authentic Spanish food.
There are many spots to see in New York City, these are just a few that you can use when trying to get to know someone a little better. Picking date venues can become difficult when you want to impress your date while also keeping it comfortable and fun, that’s why I’ve done the work for you!
