Meet Shari!
Username: Yoni_
Relationship Status: Single
Three words to describe Shari: Loyal, Dramatic (in a funny way), Friendly
Where you can find Shari: During the day, Shari creates content and attends classes to complete her grad school degree. In her free time, Shari hangs out with friends on the weekend and attends cool events around LA!
One thing Shari can’t live without: Her blanket because she sleeps like a burrito and it’s warm and cozy! And no, she’s not sharing.
We sat down with Shari to find out what she really thinks about dating, her experience on Dine and Dish and her best tips and advice to other singles on Plenty of Fish.
Plenty of Fish: What are you currently looking for in a partner?
Shari: I am currently looking for someone who is outgoing and likes to try things no matter how lame it sounds. Being open minded with a sense of humor is key.
POF: Shari, what dating behaviours are you totally over?
S: So many dating behaviors I am over. Sheesh, where should I start?
- “Hi” – Don’t just send me a dry “hi” after I completely filled out that long detailed profile. There’s more than enough to reference.
- I’m so sick of men asking me on a date to their homes. Why would you ask a complete stranger over your house anyway? No, I’m going to meet you in a public place!
- I am over “deception” photos. Photos that were you 8 years ago instead of current. No one likes being mislead.
- I am over men who can’t carry a conversation. Why do online dating if you can’t even text efficiently?
POF: How can men be more successful on dating apps?
S: To be more successful with online dating at this point, I believe men need to take a course. I’m ready to start teaching for a low rate of $99 a month. Lol Really though, guys need to stop acting like relationships are like McDonald’s orders. You don’t get them instantly by just pulling up, saying what you want and paying for it.
POF: Okay, so then what would a perfect first date be to you?
S: A perfect first date for me would be a picnic on the beach or at the park.
POF: What’s your favorite thing about dating on Plenty of Fish?
S: Striking up random conversations with some interesting people that you may have never ever met in passing.
POF: What was your favorite part of shooting the Dine and Dish episode?
S: My favorite part of shooting the episode was getting to know everyone. Jose, Alyssa and Sean are friends for life.
POF: What did you learn about yourself? Any takeaways that you’ll stick to now?
S: I learned that I can come off intimidating and that perhaps I can give people a chance and not be so bent on my preferences.
POF: What is YOUR best advice for all singles using Plenty of Fish?
S: DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT ever give your number out swiftly. Get to know that person via the Plenty of Fish platform with the messaging and voice messages. If he doesn’t have the patience to simply get to know you on that platform, he’s probably crazy.
